We recently published a paper analysing the state of the RISC-V market, the opportunities and the devolution of the applications that are now opening up to this growing and maturing open ecosystem.
We are now able to share more details of the customizable RISC-V subsystem known as MINRES Moonlight and we have made available a detailed product information sheet. Moonlight is systematized around our TGC RISC-V family of processor cores – an approach that benefits our customers with quick and easy implementations of advanced RISC-V based solutions.
If you’ve already downloaded and read the paper: Building Trust: A Development Framework for High-Reliability RISC-V Subsystems, you’ll appreciate that MINRES Moonlight is tried and tested. In the paper we share some of the successful projects where Moonlight aided speed of development and high-reliability for applications where these are crucial to the projects’ success. Edge AI, automotive and industrial AI, a RISC-V ecosystem, avionics for satellites communications in fighter jets….The paper tells you more, but these are just the public projects willing to name MINRES as a partner.
We work with companies in advanced AI, security, defense and avionics applications, but as often is the case in the industry, we’re not at liberty to talk about many of our commercial customers’ applications. We wish we could as there are so many exciting applications tied to some very impressive customer names!
In the paper, we say what we think are the ‘higher-value’ sectors and applications increasingly adopting RISC-V based architectures. We also present 9 ‘hurdles’ we hear as barriers to RISC-V development. We present a technology framework and answers for tackling perceived challenges in these areas:
